Colour Code

My friends are very important to me. Each and every one of them have been a
great friend to me even when things are not good. So let me explain to you in
the next 3 paragraphs what being a good friend means.

Being a good friend values you to care for one another. That means showing
respect or aroha to show that you care for them even when something is hard.
For example when your friend is going through a rough time you should always
be there to show aroha and be kind-hearted towards them so they can feel
better and know that you will always care for her/him.

Another way of being a good friend is having trust in your friendship.
Yes, that means having trust between you and your friends whether its a boy or
girl. That shows you know that if you tell them something personal you can trust
that they won’t apprise anyone.

Encouraging your friend is another way of being a good friend. Meaning you are
always there to encourage them in doing something they’ve never tried before
or when they are in a game. E.g if you are at their rugby game you will be on the
sideline encouraging him/her to either do a big tackle , score a try or get the kick
over the goal post.

And there you go, 3 ways of being a good friend. I know that my friends care
and trust me. They also encourage me, especially to try something new. Even
if it was me trying to play a sport like football and I fail the first couple of times
there still there to help me out and encourage me to keep going. I hope you are
one of those people.

Colour Code:
Yellow - Key: Statement
Green - Key: Explanation
Blue - Key: Example

Today we got the opportunity to mark our own writing test ( the writing above). as part of me marking my writing we did colour coding. As you can see yellow represents you statement , green is your explanation, and blue is for your example.

Muddy Fields Poetry

MUDDY FIELDS

Playing in the morning
As it feels a little boring
Running around the field
Muddy places all around
With my foot stuck in the ground

Having pins and needles
I see a black poodle
Get a bowl
I want some noodles.

Not Nice Stories - Podcast

For the past few weeks, we have been learning how to do podcasting. We each had to pick a book, and explain to us what the book is about. We then had to pick partners to work with, so that they could interview us. Lately My partner samoa has been reading about a book called, Not Nice Stories by John Parker. This book talks about a boy who is smart, he wants to get smarter, so he decides to eat sheep brains. Overall I found this book really interesting to read, and we suggest that you read it for yourself.

This is my first time making a podcast. It was a really good experience to understand, more about what this book is talking about. we really hope you try this out, because it was really fun to read about this book.

Rugby for Rosie - Podcast

For the past few weeks me and my buddy having been working on how to do podcasting. We each had to pick a book, and explain to us what the book was about. We then had to pick a partner to work with, so they could interview us for this podcast. I've been reading about a book called "Rugby for Rosie" , this book was written by a New Zealand author named Frances Adlam and illustrated by jenny cooper. This book was about a girl named rosie that wanted to play rugby for school but the only available team was the boys team , and in order for her to qualify she needed to bring along three other girls. But none of the other girls wanted to play, then the coach said she could trial an during the trial she scored a lot more try's then the boys did.  Then after all of this she was happy to say to everyone that she made the team

Interacting with decimals

WALT: work collaboratively to solve word problems.

In my group we were learning about decimals. As you can see there are problems that we had to work out, and beside those problems you can see a paper that has black writing on it and that is our working out. In my group I had, Uasi, Ana.l, Anna and Bryana. It took us a while to figure out what the answers were, but we still managed to work hard and get the answer. The letter A that was beside the Number stood for (Answer). we had only three problems that we had to work out and one of these problems that we found easy was the first one :
4.26 + 7.54 =11.8
11.8 + 3.90 = 15.7 - A (Answer)
Our second problem it took us a bit longer to get. :
30.77 + 94.65 = 125.32 - A (Answer)
30.77
+
         94.65
125.32
And last but not least was our third problem :
                                                              $9639.66                                           $11872.31
                                              +                                                           -
                                                             $2332.65                                            $1780.30
                                                                     $11872.31                                    $10191.91 - A (Answer)
