WALT: Learning to use repeated addition to solve part unknown questions where the numerator is 1.
Last week in week 6 and 7 we did fractions for Tapawha. one of the problems were 3/5 of 15 =? because denominator is 5 so you draw 5 squares or cirlces then you divide 15 into each box and the number will be three in each box, then the first three boxes is the answer if your numerator is 3. so my answer i got in this problem was 9.

Multiplication Pyramid
WALT: Explain or show the steps we took to solve each word problem (Ratios and Proportions).
This week we were given another activity that had to do with multiplication. for an example at the bottom of the pyramid there is a 1 and a 5 with the 1 and the 5 you multiply it together so it equals 5 then you continue multiplying the numbers until you get your final answer.

Disco Night
Tonight in the pt England hall we are having a disco night. It is from 6pm to 7:30 pm at night, we are fundraising for the rugby sevens team for there trip to tauranga so we hope that you can come and have fun with your friends.

Advertisement's
Yesterday we started learning about (Advertisements). Me and my group made up ideas and wrote them down on the paper showing which part of the photo means. this advertisement is about step up, step up is a meaning in different kinds of sayings. one of the step up sayings is like stepping up in what you are doing and leading the way. me and my group came up with these ideas and stated them down on the poster.

The Space Race
Walt: learning focus: Self-Questioning - I ask questions after reading about what I am still wondering or need to find out.
My learning evidence was The Space race. The author of this text is David hill, in this text he was telling his audience ( which was us ) that back in 1957 there were scientists that made satellites to take of in space so that the satellite could grab information to send back to the scientists that were in earth information about cellphone or anything that were made out of technology. there was even a part were they sent a white and brown dog to space named Laika.

Guardians of the Galaxy
Guardians of the Galaxy
On Monday the 24th of July we had an immersion assembly. When we first got into the hall all of a sudden the lights turned off with lights glowing on the ceiling, when the lights were turned off our first show was with Mr Jacobson, Mr Burt, Mrs Nua and Mr somerville, There event was about to aliens/creatures coming to earth.
The first Team that had to present to us was Team 1. There Item was about six teachers from Pt England school leaving to space, those different teachers were meeting three different parts of space. The first to teachers that left to space went to see the moon, The next to teacher were visiting the sun and last but not lest were the to last teachers that visited space and saw a lot of different things like a satellite, rocks, and all kinds of planets that are made in space. There learning intention was to focus on space.
The last team witch was Team 5 were working on a dis track from the moana movie ( how far ill go ).The singer was Mrs Judd and the guitar players were Mrs Ilaoa, Mrs Sio and Mr Wiseman, The piano player was Mrs Tapuke and last but not least the Drummer witch was Mrs Tele'a. There learning intention is focusing on how things work in space and other things that have to do with space.
