Anzac stands for Australia and New Zealand Army Corps. It marks the day where soldiers served in World War One in 1915. That is one hundred years ago, this year. Some soldiers died and others came back home. They went to Go to fight against soldiers from Turkey. Now in New Zealand and all over the world, people have dawn parades. It is where people can go and remember what happened. This takes place on 25th of April. Poppies were sold in 1922 to raise money for soldiers and their family. These are sold before Anzac Day and the money goes to RSA’s. RSA stands for the Royal New Zealand Returned and Services' Association

Myztique' s holiday writing

In the first week of the holidays I went to the holiday programmes at ymca. On tuseday morning we played games at ymca until ten o’clock when we finished playing the games we went to go have morning tea. When everybody was finished eating.everybody lined up at the door with there bags and waited until the van came and when the van came we went to the movies and waited until the rest came.when everyone was there we started walking up the stairs when we finally got up the stairs our leader told us that we were watching home then we walked in and gave our tickets to the person waiting in the front for people then we walked through and looked for number 6 so we could go through and sit down.

 When we sat down we had to wait until the movie started then the ymca people got bored so we talked then the leader told us to be quite so we waited and waited until it started the movie was called home when it finally started everybody stopped talking then it started. When the first part started it got boring so people started eating their lunch.The movie was about a purple alien and a kid trying to find her mum so the kid searched at perth until they searched her again then they found out we she was.

 In the second week of the holiday at ymca we done the same thing except for going to the movies we went to rock climbing when we got there we had to sit down and listen to instructions before we left. when we left people were excited to go to adventure land because there was a little pirate park.Me and some of my other freinds played tiggy it was so cool because there were 4 little houses with woles.After we finished playing tiggy me and my freind savanah had a raced up the rockcimbing then she won when i said ready set go we raced down then i won so we laughted then we left to go have lunch out side when we started eating it rained so we came back in the rovk climbing centre to eat lunch.

 In the third week of the holidays we done wheels day me and my little sister took our bike we had a lot of fun. when we had to go back to the stadium we had to get our togs on then we went straight to the pools until five fifteen. When it was fivefifteen we all left until our mum or dad came to pick us up when me and my sister left last we were excited to come back the next day. The next day we went straight to the pools for the whole day but before we all jumped in the pool we all had to have a barbeque first when we all finished the barbeque we all jumped in the pool.
