The boy who learned how to fly

Once in a  far country called Jamaica there was a boy named Usain bolt. On a Monday a school day bolt was so excited because it was his  first day of school. When he was running to school he was getting chased by a dog. Bolt was so fast the dog couldn’t catch bolt.

When bolt was near his school he was talking to himself saying ‘I don't wanna be late’ ‘I don't wanna be late’. When it was morning tea bolt looked in his bag to grab his lunch but then he noticed that he left it at home. But then bolt sat down on the bench feeling sad and hungry at the same time. Then a man came and told him if he races another boy and wins then he gets to have my lunch. So bolt had a deal with this man.

Then, when bolt got older the man that made a deal with bolt in school became his coach for the rest of bolts athlete life. Ever since bolt was an athlete when he got older. He had won lots of gold medals for coming first in the 100m run. But before he ran his last race for the year he was nervous to race. But then, his mum came and told bolt he could do it he just has to believe in himself.

When bolts mum told him he could do it and believe in himself. Bolt stood up and walked to the starting so that they could start the race. When the race started bolt started jogging then the other athletes ran passed him then bolt looked at his mum and his mum smiled. Then bolt started to sprint then he passed all the athletes and came first again like he always does.

Kayaking Trip

One day on a sunday it was really hot. So a family of six went kayaking. There were two boys and four girls. They went to a beach named rangitoto beach for someone's 20th birthday, When they got there they looked out to the sea and saw the beautiful water. It was so beautiful you could see the sand and shells through the water.

When they got their kayaks out of their van they put it in the water and hoped in the kayak. They went all the way out to the buoy and came back, Then they decided to have a relay.. Karen explained how to play the relay. You have to get into two equal groups of three and then you have to decide how will go first out of the groups. Then you have to kayak to the buoy half way out to sea then kayak back and tap the next person so that person can go and then come back and tap the last person so that they can finish the race of.

They were burning hot, when they got out of there kayaks the sun was so hot when it was shining on their backs and faces they felt like they were burning. So they just jumped into the water and was so pleased that the water was nice and cold. So they had a swim in the beach till it was near six o’clock in the afternoon.

Avengers Assemble

On a hot sunny day Courtney was at the beach because she had a day off from her part time job as a scientist.   She was a scientist because she was a very smart lady that knew stuff about turning people into something and knew how to hack into to the government's computer .

As she was walking to the bus stop, suddenly a blue girl with orange hair named Mystique jumped out from behind a parked car. She frightened Courtney and made her shriek in terror! “Don’t be afraid,” said Mystique.

Then mystique took Courtney to her dungeon and locked her up.  Then mystique made this potion and put it into some water so that Courtney can drink it and make Courtney stay asleep for 30 minutes then she will die.

Then iron man saw on TV that there was someone in danger, so he quickly got dressed into his iron man suit and flu to the dungeon in about 20 seconds. When he got there he busted into the dungeon and saw mystique pouring the poison potion into her cup of water, Courtney didn't see mystique pouring the potion in.

So Iron man Flu to mystique and fighted her to try and get the cup of water and tip it out before she gave the cup of water to Courtney, Then Iron Man Tied her up to the pole and to the key from mystique to open the door so that courtney was free. After he defeated mystique he took courtney back to her house and she had a rest. Then Iron Man Quickly flew back to the dungeon and took mystique to the police station to put her in jail for 5 years.  

He saved the day YAH!

This term team 4 have been learning about comic. I had to create a animated movie with my favourite superhero in it, I also had to create my own setting with a problem in it.

Fab Four

Meet Karen the predictor. Karen is a courageous superhero who often goes by the name Super Girl. She has three sisters that are older than her and two brothers that are younger than her.

Her villain is the Joker, The Joker always tries to kill when ever she at home by herself watching a movie.

Her superpower is super strength, Laser eyes and super speed. Her superpowers are really strong villains like joker wont even hurt her a bit. Her costume colours are blue, red and some yellow. She has blonde hair, blue eyes and her personality is is being kind to other people and to save people that are endanger.

Helping Christian the lion

 Have you ever helped a lion before? Well these two men from new Zealand named Ace and John helped this lion that was for sale in harrods in United Kingdom ( London). Cramped and Lonely in a small cage, So they decided to bring him home.

Then they took him home and feed him and looked after him very well.Then later the next day they took that lion named christian to africa and released him into the wild and also he was the head of the pride. Then he introduced his wife to Ace and John, Ace and john were happy that christian had a wife.

But before christian the lion introduced his wife to them they had the happiest hug that they’ve ever had, They were so glad that they realest christian to the wild and that he got to see his wife again.

Immersion assembly

Kapoof, Kapow, Kaboom, Smash, Bang, Yes that’s right we are looking at comics this term like marvel and DC. The team four teachers were dressed up like superheroes and the superheroes were Team leader America, Bat guy, Wondering women and the amateur heroes. The movie was about all the superheroes.

As I sat down my friend Anna came and sat next to Me. So then we sang the National Anthem, Sat down to get ready to watch teams movies. First was team 1. The movie was about what was their Favourite things. Which was pretty awesome. It took ages till it was teams 4 movie. Now on to Team 4’s movie.

Then the movie began. Bear baxendine was an evil little bear, That tried to escape with a chromebook. But really he took bobby - Jon’s chromebook. The Amateur heroes saw what bear baxendine tried to do and tried to fight bear baxendine so they did but then bear baxendine doged there hit and hit them back and then tied them up to the pole. Then suddenly the Teachers vengers came and rescued the ameture heroes, The teachers venger bate bear baxindine and put the chromebook back safely back into the chromebook cupboard and then untied the ameture heroes and lived hapliie ever after.

One Night Mary- Jane was walking back from work , She was so exhausted when she got home she went straight to bed. While she was sleeping she heard Something break and got out of her bed and sneaked through the house and then she turned around and saw a big green face right in front of her and then she passed out and frankenstein laughed at her. 

Frankenstein put mary in a sack and went to the sky tower. When they got to the sky tower, frankenstein climbed up to the top of the tower and took mary out of the sack when Mary got took out of the sack she just realised that she was on the top of the sky tower she was so frightened then he threw her down towards the street. She screamed with fright, HELP! HELP! Then suddenly supergirl was flying by the sky tower and saw that Mary was in perilous danger! Supergirl quickly flew to mary and catched her before she hit the ground like a pancake on the street.

After all that drama Mary-Jane went through she was so relieved that she got saved by supergirl. During all that drama she was so frightened she almost passed out but luckily she didn't.

Volcanoes

WALT:  Through finding out about volcanoes around the world to pin on a map, we are learning to make meaning of a range of texts by identifying main ideas in them and then translating the information and ideas that we learn into our own words.we had to create our own volcano maps on my maps. First we had to go to google maps and then got the menu and push my maps then push create new maps and then you find volcanoes to put the volcanoes on your maps.

P2 we are learning to create our own maps and to identify the main ideas in them and then translating the information and ideas that we learn into our own words.

When they look at my creation they will know that i’ve been learning about volcanoes.

What i like about this is that i got to learn about volcanoes that can give me information about the volcanoes around the world.

Year 5 & 6

Narrative Writing

The story goes like this. One day a girl called bella loved to play football but her sister wanted to join but she couldn’t because she was a year 3 girl. Her big sister wanted her to join but she was not a year 6. So she had to just go with that her little sister can’t play. The next day there was a football game for the year 3 to 6 she was so happy that her sister could play now.

 Then the day after that they went to japan because bella always wanted to be in a cooking contest too. Then later on in the afternoon at about 1:00 they started the cooking contest and bella was in it. Bella was the one that cooked the bacon and egg pie and the lady next to her made meatballs and pineapples. Bella was currently in 2nd place and the lady next to her was currently in 1st place. When Bella gave her plate with food on it to the judge the judge at some of it and said it was delicious, and when the lady gave her plate to the judge the judge tasted a little bit but the judge said that the meatballs were overcooked and the pineapples were roten so bella came first place bella was so happy she cried with happy tears.

 The day after that they went back to auckland bella was so happy to see her family she cried with happy tears and gave her mum, dad, and sister a very big hug they were all happy to see each other. When Bella went to school the next day she was so happy to see all her friends again she hugged her best friend so hard her friend knew she missed her because how tight she was hugging her. Then at lunchtime bellas football team had a game at school on the field, the name of her school was pt england school she loved it there.

 She loved it there because she had a great coach and lots of friends there to support her whenever bella is playing any sports at her school. Then after the football season finished bella also wanted to play netball for her school. Then netball practises was on friday she was excited to play netball as soon as her friend told her it was today. When it was lunchtime she ran quickly to the netball courts so she could practise before shooting goals before here coach came and when her coach was walking over to the courts she saw bella shooting goals in the hoop and noticed she was good at playing netball.


 So they started doing practises and played a game at the end and bella was getting mostly all the goals in and her coach was proud of how she was shooting and passing her coach was impressed with her she couldn’t even take her eyes off bella. When practises we over there coach told all the girls that trialed who was in the team, the people that she picked was bella, katie, penny, angel, samoa, stacey, kirstein, anna and paige. She picked those girls because she new that they were good at playing netball. The next day it was there very first game they were all excited to play they were to happy they were talking about the game every afternoon in the van well they were on there way to the courts were all the netball team play.

It's My Birthday!

On monday the 8th of february it was my birthday and me and my family went to the pools in onehunga. The people i went with was my mum, dad, brother, sister, uncles, aunts, and cousins I had a awesome time with them. When we got there i saw the diving board open so i ran straight away to the bathroom to get changed so that i could jump off the diving board before my dad did. When i first jumped of the diving board into the water it was shivering cold. When my cousins came they got dressed into their togs then they came outside to jump in the pool but before she jumped in I pushed her in and then she pulled me in when she fell in so I got so cold I had to sunbathe on my towel to get dry then jump back in.
