Hooking in

WALT:Write introductions that orientate and hook in the audience.
First try: This term team 4 is doing a market. In my group me and my partners are making drums because we are in musical instruments. Trade and Enterprise is when we make something then we sell it to someone that brought a drum. Our girl drums are worth 50 pieces and the boy drums are worth 1PT, 2PT, and 50 pieces. So come on over and buy one for 1PT or 50 pieces.

Grass to glass part 2


When the warm milk comes out of the cows, the milk is cooled. Then the tanker takes the milk to the dairy factory. Then it gets stored in a big


A machine separates the cream from the milk.The blue milk has a lot of cream and green milk have only a little bit.


Pasteurisation kills all the germs from the milk. Now the milk is safe we won’t get sore stomachs.


Finally the milk is bottled, ready for you to drink. That completes the journey from grass to glass.

Living on a Farm

Growing up on a farm would be fun but it will also be
hard work. We have been looking at dairy farming in New Zealand and people's roles have been producing milk.


       Feeding the calves
What would you want to do if you lived on a farm? if I lived on a farm I would want to feed the calves because
the calves never get feed from their mums because the milking machine took the cows milk.


         Riding a horse
Riding a horse would be amazing but I've never been on a horse before I've been looking at people riding them and it just looks fun so that's why I want to ride a horse.

Ants and Grasshopper

Grass to Glass

WALT:Add detail to the beginning of sentences.

They have four stomachs because it is hard to swallow the grass down the cow's throat.early in the morning and late in the afternoon.


farmers use machines to milk cows but in the olden days they used their hands to get the milk out of the cows.They get taken into the milking shed and cows get 15 bottles of milk out and in the bottle there is two litres of milk which is a lot.The cows get lined up and the farmers put cups on the cows then the machine takes the cow's milk and goes through to the fridge

Then Joshua said instead of buying one he could make it then Joshua and his papa went down to the basement before they went down mum told them to make sure the only use the stuff on the left side because mum wanted to keep every thing on the right side for the new baby that was due in a month.
