   Because they are clever and fast.
2. What are mustelids?
    They are a kind of animal.
3. List three mustelids?
    Stoat,Weasel and Ferret.
4. Why are they pests?
     They are danger to our native birds.

Do you know what a mustelids are?

Mustelids are a type of animal.Ferrets,stoats and weasel are all mustelids.They are small, with sharp teeth and claws and short, strong legs. They have small ears and thick fur.Mustelids climb trees and snatch small birds from nests. They break birds’ eggs with their teeth. Mustelids mostly sleep during the day and are awake at night. They can walk many kilometres every night. They eat anything they find along the way like birds, chicks, eggs, weta, and geckos.
